What is in Wacoal's lingerie collection?
Thirty-six styles, all slips. Thirty-four are short slips and two are wrapover slips. Most are cut from satin that resists creasing, framed with thin adjustable straps and trimmed with soft elastic lace. Colours across the range are black, nude, blush, grey, green, red and blue, with black the most widely stocked.
What is a slip and when do you wear one?
A slip is a single layer worn against the skin. It does three jobs. As sleepwear it is cooler and lighter than pyjamas, which matters in Singapore's humidity. As a layer under a dress it stops fine fabric clinging and stops a lining showing through. As loungewear it is simply comfortable. Wacoal's satin slips are cut for all three rather than for one.
What is the difference between a short slip and a wrapover slip?
A short slip is a straight chemise. It hangs from thin adjustable straps and skims the body, so it works both as sleepwear and as a layer under clothing.
A wrapover slip crosses over at the front rather than hanging straight, and Wacoal's version adds a lace kimono sleeve and a lace back panel. It is cut as sleepwear and loungewear rather than as an under-layer.
What sizes do Wacoal slips come in?
Slips are sized M, L and LL rather than by band and cup, because they are not fitted to the bust the way a bra is.

How do you care for a satin slip?
Hand wash in cool water below 30 °C, or use a mesh lingerie bag on a delicate cycle. Do not tumble dry — heat is what kills the drape in satin. Do not use fabric softener, which coats the fibres and dulls the finish. Dry flat or on a padded hanger, out of direct sun.

Usually. A satin slip gives the outer fabric a smooth surface to move over, which is what stops static cling and stops thin fabric catching on the body.
